John 3v23

And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

The “also” of this verse links it to the previous verse, and tells us that these two things were happening at the same time – John the Baptist and Jesus were both baptising people.

We are also told in this verse that much water was an ingredient required for baptism. In order to stay true to the scriptures, a sprinkle from a small bowl is not going to be sufficient, as some people seem to think today.
